Brevard Community College Combining Learning with Extracurricular Activities

Brevard County in Florida State accommodates the Brevard community college. Officially the college has 4 campuses, but actually it has 6 campuses if we consider the Aerospace program at Kennedy Space Center and the popular virtual campus. Main 4 campuses are located in Cocoa, Melbourne, Titusville and Palm Bay.

Earlier known as Brevard Junior College, Brevard community college offers around 29 degree programs along with the popular WENDI program, a career based, self esteem booster training course (for women starting their career). Known for its four day summer workweek, the college is one of the most student oriented colleges of Florida. As a member of the Florida College System, Brevard community college takes active interest in Associate in Arts transfer program. The college offers courses in a variety of disciplines in areas of arts, technology and management. Events and Programs The Melbourne campus houses the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts where cultural, arts based and other performances are held regularly. John Henry Jones Gymnatorium at Titusville is a host to many athletics based events and even performing arts. Drama based and musical performances are popular at the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse at the Cocoa campus (it also accommodates the YMCA facilities). Operated by BCC (Brevard Community College) WBCC TV is an educational television station which broadcasts mostly educational and cultural programs. In terms of sports, athletic teams from BCC are popularly known as Titans. Popular events in terms of participation and popularity include softball, baseball, basketball, golf and volleyball. In addition, the college offers the Law Enforcement Academy, a training program for people in terms of employment in law enforcement areas (local mostly).
