De-Base Prince Gold Leather is a small company that is located on the first floor at the Small to Medium Enterprises Center. The company is owned by Mr Billah, Mr Tshuma. Miss Privilege Riccardo Maphosa is in the Sales Division. The company was established in 2004.
Miss Maphosa said that they get most of their leather raw materials locally. The leather they use comprises of ostrich leather, elephant hide, crocodile skin, ostrich sheen, rhino hide and cattle leather. She also indicated that recently the supply of leather has been low and this is seriously slowing down their business. Miss Maphosa said other raw materials like the soles of their shoe products are purchased from South Africa.
Despite the reduction in leather supplies, Miss Maphosa indicated that business has been good with quite a number of individuals and organizations hoarding products from De-Base Gold Leather. She also said that they export most of their products to South Africa.
Products offered by the company are:
Formal shoes
Sandals
Belts
Key holders
Slippers
Hand bags.
With summer around the corner, my biggest guess is that sandals will be make big sale. Miss Maphosa concurred. |
